Congrats, buses! You’ll be so happy together!

Just kidding, they’re not that kind of engaged. What they are is all booked up for private events this weekend—so unfortunately we won’t be able to run our regular route Friday or Saturday night.

Deepest apologies. Looks like we’ll need to snag a couple more buses in the very near future, huh? We’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can book the buses for your private events, too—AND get 10 free passes for the regular shuttle when you do it. Planning a major holiday party soon? The Night Move can help. Email booking@thenightmove.com for rates and info.

Hiya kiddos!

In case you missed the newsletter, here’s what’s up for this weekend:

  • Friday, Nov. 13, the bus is seatless. Apologies, kiddos, but we’re full up. If you’re looking for stuff to do and don’t live within walking distance of a friend or bartender to hang out with, then maybe that’s a good thing, since it’s Friday the 13th and you should probably hide under your covers—just in case. While you’re there you can check out the professional tape job someone posted of Iggy & the Stooges’ reunion tour on YouTube. Or catch the Mad Men finale again on On Demand. So glad to see Joan back, aren’t you?
  • Saturday, Nov. 14, the bus still has seats available and will be running its regular route, 6pm to 3am, Royal Oak—Ferndale—Detroit. Some very cool options for you: Wings vs. Ducks at the Joe (and ask your Night Move driver for a free People Mover token!), DJ Mike “Agent X” Clark at Centaur, and Opapada at Cliff Bell’s.

Also this weekend is the very fantastic Evil Dead: The Musical at Ferndale’s Ringwald Theatre—totally a can’t-miss.

This weekend, ride the Loop around Detroit. Get anywhere you need to go, for free if you ride the Night Move too, or only $5 all night if you ride just the Loop.

Cool goings-on around town this weekend:

Watch the Tigs take on the Indians at 7 Friday and Saturday nights.

Celebrate Bookie’s 6th birthday party on Saturday night.

Stop by the always-delightful Traffic Jam & Snug for some awesome beer and cheese.

Enjoy some sweet sliders at the ever-popular Town Pump.

Grab an earful and a cocktail at the swanky Cliff Bell’s.

Drink some of the city’s best martinis at Centaur.

Listen to some rad bands at the Magic Stick and the Majestic. (Haven’t I told you I’m bringing “rad” back?)

And last but certainly not least, check out the hydroplane races for some high-speed, super-exciting watery fun.
